Memory Project 2017: Philippines

The Memory Project is a charitable nonprofit organization that invites art students to create portraits for youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, violence, and extreme poverty.

This year, each student in AP Studio Art & Advanced Art received a photograph of a child from the Philippines and worked diligently to create a portrait for that child. As part of the project, the class raised $600 to donate to the organization. The money was used partly to deliver the portraits, but they also funded nutritional programs to further aid the children.

Thank you to all who donated to help us make this project possible. Now watch this video and look at the portraits!
